The Philippines 2013

Clowns Without Borders partners with Plan International and CWB Australia to provide shows and laughter for the Philippines over the Christmas Holiday. The clowns performed in some of the worst hit communities following Typhoon Haiyan. Michael O’Neill, Matthew Poki McCorkle, Briar Seyb-Hayden (from CWB Australia), and Jpeace Love Circus comprise our side-splitting team. We are thankful to these artists for volunteering to share their holiday season with our neighbors in the Philippines.

Haiti 2013: Clowns with a Trapeze Tour

Our team for this tour is big- six funny people in all! And we’ll be coming together from all across the United States; from LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. But wait! It gets better! This CWB-USA project features clowns that can FLY! Along with seasoned CWB-USA volunteers David Clay, Jan Damm, and Gwendolyn Rooker, we’re sending aerialist, Caitlyn Larsson, and a couple clowns who play in the air, Kolleen Kintz and Bobby Kintz!

Colombia November 2013

These clowns were ready and hungry for play. In every activity, from games, to simple walking exercises, to improvisations, they would dive in and find all kinds of comic and poetic material. It felt like all I needed to give them was a small window into play and they would happily bust it open to make a huge door into vast territories of creative funny.

Colombia July 2013

CWB partnered with local clown organizations CaliClown and Pasos de Payasos to share laughter with families facing structural violence, poverty and discrimination. Our team performed shows and offered workshops in Bogotá and Cali from June 30-July 12th.

hand made artisan crafts to cigarettes and chicklets bubble gum.
