Tim was roped into the work of Clowns Without Borders in 2003 when he was lassoed by an audience member during a performance in Chiapas, Mexico. A graduate of the Dell’Arte School of Physical Theatre (’01), he has served CWB as a volunteer and as Executive Director (2010–2015). After experiences with CWB, Cunningham went back to school and trained as an emergency nurse at the University of Virginia. He went on to earn a doctoral degree from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. He now works as the Director of Patient and Family Centered Care for Emory Healthcare. Tim has performed with CWB – USA in Colombia, Haiti, Mexico, Turkey, Sierra Leone, and South Africa.
