“After two days of workshopping, we perform in Istanbul with ASAM (Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants). ASAM works to bring Turkish and Syrian kids together in order to break the discrimination which can exist between these communities. Approximately 80 kids and 20 adults enjoy our show, their eyes full of happiness.”

Tour Overview
In July 2017, Clowns Without Borders USA returned to Turkey for our fourth collaboration with a Turkish artistic group led by Guray Dinkol. Gabi Winters (Brazil) and Erwan Gronier (France) represented CWB – USA. Gabi and Erwan kicked off the project by leading a day of capacity building workshops for the local artistic troupe. The international performance team also included two Turkish artists and two Italian artists. These six performers created a show after only two days of rehearsal time.
CWB is proud to have partnered Life Support Center as our NGO contact for this project. The artists performed in Istanbul and traveled to various cities through the Turkey.
CWB – USA follows United Nations naming conventions for all countries, nations, and territories, along with the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. To read more about our Code of Ethics, click here.
